Recent media attention has once again leveled criticism at pharmacies, the sale and use of supplementation, the costs and lack of rigorous scientific investigations.  Although there are many studies available for the efficacy of supplements, the reports  highlight the need for funding into unbiased research to fully address the areas in question.  In addition, published research claiming inadequacies and indeed dangers of pharmaceutical medications needs to be brought to the public awareness with equal gusto that is used in the constant disparagement of natural health therapies and modalities.



Leading health professionals have come out in support of the need for more funding, but also to highlight the existing research available for those that seek scientific proof.
